Three Kings Day: A Puerto Rican Cultural & Culinary Experience

Presented by Ana Montanez
Hosted by Dames Ana Montanez & Jacquie Kelly

Celebrate the spirit of Día de los Reyes - Three Kings Day - with a heartfelt culinary and culture experience that brings the warmth of Puerto Rican holiday traditions to life with stories told by Dame Ana Montanez.

Join us for an immersive cooking demo and tasting featuring foods that symbolize unity, celebration, and family. You’ll experience the artistry and meaning behind these beloved holiday dishes while learning about their origins, symbolism, and how they connect communities across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Then, savor the flavors of Puerto Rico’s festive table with pasteles - a cherished dish made from root vegetable dough filled with rich and aromatic meat or vegetables and wrapped in banana leaves, served with vegan arroz con gandules. These dishes tell stories of ancestry, resilience, and joy - and embody the true flavor of community.

Tickets: member $59 non-member $65
Location: Breezy’s Deli & Market, Philadelphia, PA
Date: Tuesday, January 6th | Time: 6-8:00 pm

Your ticket includes:

  • Educational demo by Dame Ana Montanez

  • Tastings from the demo of traditional Puerto Rican dishes - vegan salad too!

  • Cultural storytelling and community celebration

  • La Reina Rosada cocktail, mocktail non-alcoholic beverages included

  • Epiphany Cake (Rosca de Reyes) - a sweet, symbolic crown-shaped bread that concludes the 12 days of Christmas, honoring a beloved tradition that brings families together - and a vegan dessert.

Come hungry for culture, connection, and comfort food that honors the season’s end and the bonds that carry us into the new year.
