Global Public Health Professional

Lucille Pilling is a global public health professional whose focus is women’s health. She was Vice President of International Programs for Planned Parenthood, managed primary health care programs in Africa and Latin America and provided short-term technical assistance around the world. She was also a professor of public health at New York University, University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson University.

Lucille loves to explore new communities, cultures and their cuisines. Her particular favorite is time with grandmothers in their kitchens. The only two foods she will never eat again are bat (The Seychelles) and smoked caterpillar (Botswana). Recently retired from teaching, she is perusing volunteer opportunities in local public health programs focused on nutrition and maternal and child health.
