Neomie Eliezer

Owner/Pastry Chef, NeoBakes

Neomie Eliezer has always been a lover of sweets. Whenever she visited either of her grandmothers in France and Israel, she was so excited to be in the kitchen learning from them. Before Neomie found her place in a professional kitchen, she received a B.A. in Deaf Studies. Soon after she went on to pursue her passion in pastry at the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College and received her A.A. in Pastry Arts.

Neomie interned at the Union League, then worked at Parc, took a break from the kitchen and worked at Fante’s Kitchenware Shop (her time there will always hold such a special place in her heart.). At Fantes, she loved helping customers make their pastry ideas become a reality, she also enjoyed doing in store demos. After leaving Fante’s, she worked at a little pastry shop in Collingswood and a year later, she found herself at Feast Your Eyes Catering.

At FYE, Neomie started as a pastry cook and eventually grew into the position as their Executive Pastry Chef. She enjoyed testing different flavor combinations and letting her creativity soar. While working there, she entered a dessert contest and won the most creative dessert award.

Currently, Neomie works in education but her passion for pastry has not left her as she still dreams up of new desserts and continues to take orders for her little side business, NeoBakes.

Aside from pastry, Neomie loves working with clay. One thing you can say for sure is that she loves working with her hands, from sign language, to pastry to pottery!
